Good job You have made that all important decision to purchase an AED through many hours of fundraising or as a business decision for the protection of your staff should a cardiac arrest happen in work.

However have you ensured its in the correct working order at all times?

There are quite a number of different types and brands of AED’s on the market in Ireland today however they all do the same thing – help save lives. It is important to ensure they are ready for use at all times so just like your car it should be serviced by a competent person at least on an annual basis.

At we ensure that your Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) is checked by our competent installers to ensure it has all the relevant parts, they are in date and ready for use. On completion we will provide you with a written report regarding all the checks and replacment consumables that have been installed.

AED’s require very little maintenance however it is important to check them regulary. You may even have an individual within your company or organisation who can carry out these checks for you, and if so think about these items:

  1. Check the batteries
  2. Check the electrodes
  3. Ensure adequate accessories are in place
  4. Ensure no damage to cables or casings

Also ensure ACT:

  • Accessible
  • Charged
  • Trained people to use it

These additional steps will only take a few more moments during your tests and might one day help in preventing a failure at a critical time.

If you don’t want to take on this responsibility then contact us today to book in your service.
